Darryl Pitcher

Darryl has been involved healthcare engineering in both operational and management roles since the late 1980’s and is currently CEO of Bethsalem Care, an SA based provider of residential Aged Care and Retirement Living. Darryl has been involved in the governance of IHEA and active on the National Board in roles including National President and National Secretary, and is currently the Editor of “Healthcare Facilities” the IHEA Journal, and is involved with the Communications portfolio. Darryl is also presently serving as the President of the International Federation of Healthcare Engineering (IFHE) of which IHEA is a longstanding and respected member, and has been on the Executive Committee of IFHE since 2012, having represented Australia at various IFHE conferences and activities since 2010.

Steve is the Facilities Services Manager at Epworth Healthcare in Geelong. Following 23 years in the public healthcare sector Steve commenced with Epworth in 2015 while the Facility was still under construction. Steve had the rare opportunity of taking a Facility from a Construction site to an operational hospital. Steve believes in the value that a network of Engineers can bring to the health care sector and to the patients treat in our hospitals. This passion for Building networks and sharing information is what has lead Steve to serve on the IHEA board.

Jon has worked within the Health Facility Management Sector for 25 years starting in electrical maintenance at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, he has a broad range of technical and management experience within this area including the implementation of computerised maintenance management systems, management of capital projects, strategic planning and executive level management of healthcare assets and facilities. Jon holds graduate certificates in Facility Management and WHS and has advanced trade qualifications in electrical technology and air conditioning. Currently the Director of Capital Assets, Property and Engineering for Sydney Local Health District, Jon has been an active member of the IHEA since 2012 and the current National President

Rohit Jethro

Rohit is a Mechanical Engineer with a PG in Business Administration and nearly 30 years of technical and managerial experience. He started his working life in the Indian Navy as a Marine Engineering Officer in 1991 having served on-board various Warships, a Shipyard, Regional and Naval HQs as a Joint Director in the rank of Commander. Post retirement from the Military, he moved to Australia in 2010 and commenced work in the Health Sector. In the last ten years within the sector, his experience has grown through various FM roles including that of Facility Manager of two leading hospitals before moving into his current position of the last six years as the Engineering Manager of a 738-bed private hospital, the largest in WA.

Rob Arian has more than 15 years of practical and managerial experience in Healthcare Engineering clinical technology Strategic asset management combined with extensive regulatory knowledge around healthcare industry both in Australia and USA. Rob has lead the management and monitoring of all services and oversee the development and implementation of quality management strategies to provide the highest level of patient care whilst achieving optimal return on investment and to maximise utilisation. Rob is currently the General Manager of Medical Imaging Services in Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

Peter Easson

Peter has been employed in the Western Australia Health Service since 2003 and currently holds the position as the Area Director of Facilities Management for the North Metropolitan Health Service. He commenced his career in health with the Scottish National Health Service in 1986 until migrating with his family to Australia in 2003.
Peter has over 30 years’ experience in Healthcare Engineering and Facilities Management and is qualified in Mechanical Engineering and Information Communication Technology following studies at Napier University, Edinburgh and the UK Open University.
Peter has been a Director on the IHEA National Board since 2012 and currently holds the Executive position of Immediate Past President. Peter is the holder of the IHEA Learning and Development Program portfolio.
