About the Event

These updates are particularly relevant to maintaining compliance and ensuring the safety and comfort of healthcare environments.


The AS 1668 series is the foundation for Australian HVAC practices, helping indoor spaces maintain healthy air quality by setting minimum ventilation standards. The updates to AS 1668.2:2024 replace the 2012 edition with revised technical requirements that reflect advancements in technology and modern air quality practices. The new standard introduced a number of changes to healthcare facilities including:

  • New provisions for HEPA leak testing in accordance with AS ISO 14644.3 or AS 1807 and 99.99% capture (equivalent to EU H14 standard)
