The AS 1668 series is the foundation for Australian HVAC practices, helping indoor spaces maintain healthy air quality by setting minimum ventilation standards. The updates to AS 1668.2:2024 replace the 2012 edition with revised technical requirements that reflect advancements in technology and modern air quality practices. The new standard introduced a number of changes to healthcare facilities including:
New provisions for HEPA leak testing in accordance with AS ISO 14644.3 or AS 1807 and 99.99% capture (equivalent to EU H14 standard)
