Dear colleagues,

I write to inform you that the IHEA C.E.O. Karen Taylor has resigned to take up a new position in education. Karen has worked with the IHEA for the last 5 years and has been instrumental in improving the membership engagement process and connecting the IHEA in a more contemporary way via social media. Karen’s leadership and broad knowledge of corporate functions has enabled a high level of professionalism to be introduced into the operations of the IHEA and she leaves a tremendous legacy with the board well placed to take our organisation into the future. I’m sure you will all join me in wishing Karen all the best for the future.

Given the current situation with COVID 19 the board has taken the decision to appoint an interim C.E.O. –  Clive Jeffries for a six month period. Clive has worked with the IHEA in the recent past in a marketing role and has a proven track record in business management.

Formal recruitment for the C.E. position will occur after the interim period elapses.

Jon Gowdy
IHEA President
